ACROBATICS

Acrobatics, or Acro, is the fusion of dance technique and acrobatic elements/skills. Classes are designed to teach students how to safely execute skills and tricks such as bridges, backbends, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials and more. Students are then taught how to incorporate these skills into a dance routine. We teach using the Acrobatic Arts syllabus to ensure we provide a high standard of excellence and safety. A fantastic class to complement all dancers and help build balance, strength, and flexibility.

Private lessons are also available.

Please speak to Miss Shardée or Miss Tracy for more information regarding Acro classes for your child.

Aerial

Aerial is a beautiful and athletic dance style where students combine Acrobatics training with Aerial apparatus (apparatus suspended in the air).

At Aspect Motion we teach using the Aerial Arts syllabus to ensure safe and effective progression and the development of well-rounded aerialists. Students progress through the syllabus levels in their classes, completing progress charts and assessments (optional) to track their progress.

Classes: All students must also be enrolled in an Acro class in order to do Aerial. Students must be enrolled in Acro 4 or above (or have special permission) to enrol in Aerial. This is to ensure that students have the adequate strength, flexibility and Acrobatic technique required to safely learn Aerial skills.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Aerial classes will incorporate both Silks and Hoop (Lyra) training. Class sizes are kept small to ensure that students get lots of time on each apparatus.

Acro Troupe

ACRO PERFORMANCE TROUPE, NEW FOR 2025!

Our Acro Performance Troupe class will largely focus on learning and refining choreography each week, integrating the Acro skills students develop in their individual Acro classes into a large group dance. Being involved in troupe will give students the opportunity to perform at many different community events, festivals and charity galas throughout the year. It is a great way for students to gain experience dancing in a strong team-based environment and to shine on stage! *For 2025, entry into competitions will also be considered later in the year for those troupe members that are interested and available.*

NOTE: Enrolment in Acro Troupe is open to students aged 10+ and enrolled in Acro Level 4, 5, 6, 7, Advanced Acro or Senior Acro in 2025. Students younger than 10 who are interested in troupe are encouraged to email an expression of interest.

Please note that students must participate in an Acro class alongside troupe in order to strengthen the Acro skills required in the troupe choreography.'
