IRISH

The O’Connor School of Irish Dancing has been providing Irish dance classes for over 46 years. Classes are available for students aged 4 years to adults in our Bayswater and Sommerville studios. Over the years we have had our dancers compete in State and National Championships with many dancers qualifying for the World Championships as well as travelling interstate and overseas for many other competitions. Our dancers also perform at local community events and visit aged care homes to provide entertainment for residents. Some of our dancers have continued their Irish dancing journey and now performing in professional Irish dance shows.

These classes offer high levels of traditional Irish dancing technique and develop great levels of fitness, musicality and strength through a wonderful dance form. Students have the opportunity to enter exams and competitions. Registered with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, The Irish Dancing Commission, Ireland.

 Irish dancing competitions are held throughout the year.   These are also called "Feis".  Aspect Motion students dance at these events under  the name of O'Connor School of Irish Dancing.  

Beginner Irish – new beginners and students who know Beginners reel

Advanced Beginner – students who know reel, light jig and some of single jig.  

Primary/Inter Irish - students must know 4 beginner dances

Championship – For students wishing to compete in State and National Championships
